Tacos & Tequila Tuesday

Need a great dinner with a great price? Head to Blue & Gray in Gettysburg on Tuesday nights! They have a Tacos and Tequila special where you can choose from five different types of tacos and many different kinds of Tequila Reposado or Tequila Blanco. This is the special on Tuesdays so they offer great prices for a delicious menu. The taco options include Carne Asada, Chicken, Brisket, Tuna and Cajun Shrimp. So far I have been able to try every single type of taco except for the Chicken. They also have $5 margaritas which pair great with any of the tacos!

Carne Asade

Starting with the best taco on the Blue & Gray special menu is the Carne Asade tacos. These tacos include the perfectly cooked Carne Asade with onions and cilantro on a corn tortilla. I usually prefer flour tortillas with my tacos but honestly these tacos are phenomenal. They are served with a mildly spicy green sauce which is delicious with the tacos. If you are going to Blue & Gray on a Tuesday the Carne Asade tacos are a must!

Brisket
Next up are the Brisket tacos which are the only tacos on the menu that have cheese. As a cheese lover, I am upset to see that none of the other tacos include cheese. I am not normally a fan of Brisket but I just had to try these. The brisket is perfectly cooked and juicy. Blue & Gray does a fantastic job of filling your tacos with as much meat as possible. The Brisket tacos have melty gouda cheese which brings them up to the top of the menu as the second best taco! 

Cajun Shrimp

In third place we have the cajun shrimp tacos which are perfect for anyone who loves shrimp. I love seafood and shrimp is truly my favorite so I was so happy to see these on the menu. My only critique with this taco is that they use tiny shrimp and I think that larger shrimp would be better. These tacos are served with andouille sausage and a cajun remoulade. The cajun remoulade is delicious but a little bit spicy.

Margarita & Tequila Blanco Flight

You can't have tacos at Blue & Gray without pairing it with a $5 margarita! They serve classic margaritas for only $5 and you have the option of adding salt or sugar on the rim. They are very good but I wish they had other flavors than lime. I also decided to try the Tequila Blanco flight but as someone who knows nothing about Tequila I won't talk much about that. It is only $15 for the Tequila flight which allows you to pick 4 different types of Tequila so it really is a great price. 

To wrap things up, I will discuss the items that I do not have pictured. I am still on a mission to try the Chicken tacos but they are only served with salsa which is why I have yet to try them. I have tried the Tequila Reposado flight but I am not a fan of that type of Tequila. I have tried the Tuna tacos but I am not a fan of tuna so I am not the best judge of those. My friends and family who have had the Tuna tacos say they are absolutely delicious. Definitely stop by Blue & Gray on a Tuesday or whenever because I could argue they are one of the best restaurants in Gettysburg.
